Public Meeting – Monday, Feburary 13, 2012 @ 6:30PM – Rec Center
It’s time to refresh our Board of Directors. We are seeking volunteers to serve on our board to help guide our non-profit so we can help the City of Williams return the Williams Aquaitc Center to year round operation.
Our minimum requirements to be a Director are:
- you must be a legal resident of the United States
- you can not have any felony convictions, or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude
We are looking for a person who is passionate about having the pool open. Someone who can commit to about 10-12 meetings a year. We tend not to meet during the winter holidays and summer (we like our vacations too). A director is also expected to help out with our fundraising and grant projects.
Come join us on Monday night, Febuary 13th, at 6:30PM in the Williams Recreation Center.
Organizing Board of Directors Meeting
We had our first Board of Directors Meeting on March 29th, 2010. The following officers were elected to their positions
Chair: Mike Dulay
Vice-Chair: Lisa Williams
Treasurer: Tom Hooker
Secretary: Erin Cornwell
Forming the Nonprofit Entity
The members of the Pool Committee determined that the best course of action to achieve our goals was to form a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Our application has been accepted by the state. The initial board consists of the following community members.
- Mike Dulay
- Sandy Arcari
- Lisa Williams
- Tom Hooker
- Becky Martinez
- Clare Hydock
- Kris Vasquez
- Carol Glassburn
- Erin Cornwell
It is our intention to make sure that the city re-opens the pool.
